In these industries, hearing PPE is often part of the uniform, and the risks of noise-induced hearing loss are well recognised.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p id=\"ember5884\">But the data tells us workplace noise risk extends far beyond these sectors. In the auto industry, one study tested more than 6,500 workers and found nearly 30% had hearing loss (not using PPE was identified as a contributing factor).
