We provide a quick (10-12 minute) non-invasive test that measures a person\u2019s ability to hear different sound frequencies and volumes, with reporting provided in accordance with AS\/NZS 1269.4:2014.<\/p>\n<p>Our mobile testing unit can come to the workplace (if preferred), minimising disruption and allowing staff to get back to work quickly. _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; title_text_color=&#8221;gcid-3d0f4be1-9a7c-4b0b-be0b-5540e1816916&#8243; title_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{%22gcid-3d0f4be1-9a7c-4b0b-be0b-5540e1816916%22:%91%22icon_color%22,%22open_toggle_text_color%22,%22title_text_color%22%93}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From 29 July 2025 WorkSafe Queensland made changes to the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 which introduced new audiometric testing requirements for workers.<\/li>\n<li>Excessive noise exposure is a common hazard in workplaces and exposure to high noise levels can impair hearing, quality of life and reduce situational awareness, increasing the risk of accidents.<\/li>\n<li>From 29 July 2025, PCBUs (Employers) must provide audiometric testing for workers who need hearing protection due to noise levels exceeding the exposure standard:\n<ul>\n<li>LAeq,8h of 85 dB(A)1 <em>(a worker\u2019s average noise exposure over a standard 8-hour workday)<\/em>, or<\/li>\n<li>LC,peak of 140 dB(C)2 <em>(the loudest instantaneous noise peak a person is exposed to)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Although not always the case, as a general guide, if workers require hearing protection, they most likely require audiometric testing.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Failing to comply with audiometric testing requirements could result in penalties for the PCBU (Employers) and may lead to workers\u2019 compensation claims for hearing damage that could have been caused by previous employment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Not sure of noise exposure?<\/strong> Onsite Testing can conduct noise testing at your worksite in accordance with Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=&#8221;When it is needed&#8221;
